What Is Life Supposed To Be About?

Here is a picture of the crew we had over tonight for the "Drop Your Kids Off At Our House And Go Christmas Shopping" fundraising event for Reece's Rainbow Waiting Children! The kids had alot of fun, and we raised $165.00!!! Way to go!!! We'll be hosting the event again on Wednesday evening from 6pm-9pm for anyone who lives in the area.

The best news is this: this morning, Sasha had a total of $0 in his adoption fund......but tonight, Sasha has $165.00 to bank in his adoption account. As I sat and thought about our evening, I realized there is nothing I would've rather done this evening. A movie, a concert, dinner out, or even seeing a Christmas play couldn't top helping to raise money for Sasha.

In an orphanage, way far from here, little Sasha spends all day being "just one of many". He isn't "special" to anyone at all; in fact, he probably isn't called by name. He has never heard the words: "I love you"......has never felt the arms of mom as she rocks him to sleep and gently hums a lullaby in his ear.....there is no one to tickle his tummy.....no one to brush his hair and tell him how handsome he is. I wonder what it would feel like to be unwanted?

As of this evening, praise the Lord, our family has become a part of his life journey. WHEN Sasha's family finally finds him, each person who took part this evening will be able to celebrate with incredible joy.....knowing he/she was a small part of it. THAT is what life is all about!

Luke 12:6-7 "Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not be afraid; you (Sasha) are worth more than many sparrows."
