Money Continued To Come In Today!

This was left at our door today along with a container full of dollars and change for the "Darya Project". These precious girls set up a "Hot Chocolate and Pie" stand this morning to raise money. As it turns out, one of them was adopted from Guatemala when she was one year old, and she is the one who spear-headed the effort. All together, they brought over $125.00 to our house.....isn't that great???

The more I have thought about the "$100 for 200" (or as some have suggested, "$50 for 400") ministry idea, I have started to lean toward allowing Lydia to lead it (she certainly wants to).....and welcoming young people to join in and get involved to make the commitment for 2010. Wouldn't it be awesome to see our youth babysitting, doing bake sales, chores around the house, lemonade stands, raking leaves, etc. in order to send in $50.00 a month to save an orphan?? They could see the picture of the child, even post it on their fridge at home, and know their hard work is going to literally save a life. At the end of 2010, they would have the incredible blessing of knowing TWELVE ORPHANS with special needs were saved because of their efforts....literally, our youth becoming the hands and feet of Christ. What a life lesson, don't you think?

So, if you have any thoughts, suggestions, ideas.....let us know. Maybe as a big group, we can all commit to being crazy in love for those Jesus called: "the least of these". We can't save the world, but together, we can save the worlds of twelve lives next year. Maybe it is possible.

"Whatever you have done for the least of these, you have done it for Me."
